History of Milton Videos

The Founding of the City of Milton WI Part 1

Watch this short video to learn about what brought settlers to the Wisconsin frontier in 1838, and how Joseph Goodrich made sure Milton would be guaranteed a place on the map thanks to the railroad.

Founding of the City of Milton WI Part II

In this video, learn how the small town founded by Joseph Goodrich came to be known as Milton, instead of the first choice of early settlers, Prairie Du Lac.

Founding of the City of Milton WI Part III

This short video explains how Milton came to have two down towns, with one growing up around the railroad, and the other finding it's identity in the local college. Learn how these two very different communities eventually came together to become the Milton we know today.
